I hate to have anything on my arms and wrists, but this is one of those things that you don't notice unless you need the time. I wash my hands all the time and needed a watch that I would be able the wear and would not be ruined. As soon as I got this watch I loved it. The face in the picture makes the blue look very bright, it is not... It is more the deep blue of the ocean when the sun is reflected than the light blue of the reflected sky. I do a lot of work in the dark so having the hands glow is a big help. The band of the watch is great because unlike some watches I have had it does not pinch the skin or pull the hairs out. You can't beat the price if you are looking for a nice, comfortable, working watch.
